I lived in Kathmandu for more than two years, directing a media arts non-profit, Sattya. Organizing and teaching journalism, documentary film, and photography trainings for young Nepalis also helped me grow in those areas, as the perspectives of our creative community came to influence my own. During this time I also worked on several commissioned projects for development agencies, examining political youth associations and protests, a hilltop Drukpa nunnery, and landless communities along the Bagmati River.
